Get it working.

Most problems come down to what the camera can see: the whole target in frame, printed at full size, and a red laser flash bright enough to catch. Start below. If none of it fits, write to us and we will work it out.

The target will not scan

Peregrine reads the QR code and the four black corner markers to register the page. Get the whole sheet in frame, keep it flat against the wall, and make sure nothing covers the code or the corners. Shoot the scan square to the target rather than from a sharp angle, and avoid a lamp or window putting glare across the paper.

Shots are not registering

Peregrine scores the flash from a red laser training cartridge. Check that the cartridge is red rather than infrared or green, that it matches your firearm’s caliber, and that the striker is actually dropping on each repetition. A very bright room can wash out the flash, so dim the lights if hits are intermittent.

Hits land in the wrong place

The scan maps the target’s real size and angle, so that map breaks if the phone or the paper moves afterward. Re-scan any time you bump the stand, reposition the phone, or re-tape the target. A target that is curled or wrinkled will also skew placement.

The printed target does not work

Print on standard letter paper at 100% scale. Turn off Fit to Page, Scale to Fit, and any borderless setting, since scaling the sheet changes the geometry Peregrine measures against. The black corner markers must print complete and solid, so replace the target if your printer is running low on toner or ink.

The app crashed or froze

Send it through the bug report form above. Include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. If a specific drill or target reproduces it every time, say which one, because that turns a hunt into a fix.

Purchases and refunds

Peregrine is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no tiers, no consumables. Apple handles all App Store billing and refunds directly at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone, use Restore Purchases rather than buying again.

Requests and ideas

Drills worth adding, a standard we have missed, a target face you want: send it to the same address. The drill library grows from what people actually run.

For dry-fire and laser training only. Always treat every firearm as loaded, keep live ammunition out of the room, and follow the firearm maker’s dry-fire guidance.
